A thirty-second location map that answers a buyer’s first question before they ask it.
The brief I set myself
Off-plan buyers in Dubai decide on location long before they look at floor plans. A location map has one job: show where the home is and how long it takes to get to the places they care about, in under thirty seconds and without a single claim the agent can’t back up.
How it was made
The coastline, Palm Jumeirah, roads and building heights come from OpenStreetMap. Every route is a real driving route from OSRM, so the line on screen follows the roads a buyer would take, and each drive time is the routed time rounded up to the next five minutes. The nearest Metro station was chosen by road distance from ten candidates, not by guesswork.
The map is animated in After Effects with GEOlayers 3, then cut twice: landscape for the developer’s site and vertical for social. The end card keeps an empty, labelled slot for the project’s permit number and QR code, which UAE property adverts need.
